Pink in a Non-Pink World
Dan Pink (danpink.com) captured the imaginations of many teachers with his book, A Whole New Mind. Isaac newton once wrote that he could see over the horizon because he "stood on the shoulders of giants," referring to his predecessors. The same with Pink: His work is based on the writings and actions of Friedman, Postman, Hetland, Gardner, Littky, Montessori, Steiner, Deming and others.
I have been inundated with requests to speak about the background and the network of support that Dan Pink's works operate in, and this blog (Pink in a Non-Pink World) discusses the many books that the reader will benefit from knowing about in order to better interpret Dan Pink's works and explain the significance to parents, teachers and principals. This is the burden that enlightened teachers carry when they try to bring Pink's vocaublary into the classroom.
