Steve McCrea
I've traveled to over 45 countries and I've almost three years in other countries.  What can we learn from each other?

I've developed a pronunciation system called "It Sounds Like" and I hope people will avoid using IPA (backwards C, a+e, upside-down V).  Let's talk!   Write to freeEnglishLessons@gmail.com.   My Orkut and Facebook accounts are both linked to FreeEnglishLessons@gmail.com.

I
am a teacher in a school in Fort Lauderdale.

I have written some articles for Teacher Training -- look for them here.
http://www.VisualAndActive.com is my training website:  YES, you can hire my colleagues and we can prepare an EXCELLENT long-term training program for teachers.

Let's look for Jokes and Quotes

Week A: Homework (Your First Week)
Each week let's do something interesting.   This week is about JOKES AND QUOTES.

Today's "homework" (if you want to participate)

1.  Find an interesting quote
2.  Find a funny joke   ( www.cleanjokes.com ericsjokes.com/jokes/clean.html)   -- recommend a funny joke.   Recommend a good web site

3.  what are fins    fur and feathers?
There will be a party for artists at 1350 East Sunrise Blvd.   and it is FREE.   Look for ArtServe.org and find out more information.

4.  send me a funny question that US people ask you.   A Brazilian student told me that many US people ask, "Do you live in a jungle?  Are there monkeys in the street?"

5.  http://www.scribd.com/doc/11484600/Small-is-Beautiful-E-F-Schumacher    This is an excellent book for economists and business people.  It was written in 1974 but many parts of the book are useful.   IT IS FREE.   you can find more free books at www.scribd.com -- if you find a good book for learning English or business vocabulary, please send me the link.

6.  Visit Andrew Mayne's site and watch the 43-second video.  http://itricks.com/store/?page_id=111   This video lasts 43 seconds.
This video has a duration of 43 seconds.   This video is 43 seconds long.

(we have many ways to describe LENGTH in English)

Write to me at FreeEnglishLessons@gmail.com Now, return to WELCOME TO OUR SCHOOL website OUR WEB SITE Go ahead, find an interesting quotation (or a quote) and send it to me. What inspires you? Find an interesting book: SCRIBD.com is the place to go.
