Hi, My name is C D

Hi, My name is C. D., and I'm an Internet Marketing Analytic Paralytic.

I know I'm an Internet Marketing Analytic Paralytic because:

1. I've got 60 folders in one email account full of read and unread emails, everything from AffiliateNicheClub to Weebly but I HAVEN'T TAKEN MASSIVE ACTION!

2. I've got 3 notebooks full of printouts of web pages, emails, etc about internet marketing but I HAVEN'T TAKEN MASSIVE ACTION!

3. I've spent money on my Wealthy Affiliate membership for a year but I HAVEN'T TAKEN MASSIVE ACTION!

4. I've bought OneWeekMarketing, and it's terrific stuff but I HAVEN'T TAKEN MASSIVE ACTION!

5. I've bought Internet Marketing products from a marketer at Warrior Forum whom I trust because of all the good free tips he has given in his emails, but I HAVEN'T TAKEN MASSIVE ACTION!

6. I've bought CompleteOnlineMoneySystem, and it also is terrific stuff but I HAVEN'T TAKEN MASSIVE ACTION!

OK, since it's clear from the above that I know what I need to do, WHY HAVEN'T I DONE IT?

Note: Insert here all the excuses that we Analytic Paralytics can come up with. Yours are probably like mine: job, family, commute time, other commitments

But the real reason is I find myself sucked in to whatever I'm focusing on and not being satisfied to let it fly off into the great blue internet sky and see how it does

Keyword research? Every time I get started on keyword research I find myself saying something like "Um, that one doesn't look quite right, let's keep looking..."

Competition research? Sure, I can really get into that. I get so far into it the conversation in my head goes something like this: "Wow, that site is great! I'm going to find out EVERYTHING about his campaign so I'll know what to do to make my campaign great! Wait a minute, look at that! That campaign is way cooler, let's check it out first."

Article marketing? Yeah, I've written some articles. They're on my hard drive, waiting for me to "perfect" them. I find I have a talent for writing, but I have a terrible time forcing a particular keyword density into an article. It doesn't feel natural to me, but I hear that's whatcha gotta do to get your article found on the web by a buyer.

PPC? Too scary to go there, man. I don't have money to lose. And man, have I heard the horror stories about pay per click.

IM education? Wow this Wealthy Affilitate University is great! Hey, wouldn't it be smart to follow every post this guy/gal ever made? It looks like they really know what they're doing!

etc ad nauseam...

So, here's my new plan:

1. Celebrate the tiny success I've had so far, - one lens sticking on Google page 3 for a month

2. Commit to the following: Whatever plan I follow for Internet Marketing my tactic for carrying out each step of the Inernet Marketing plan will be: DO ENOUGH for that step to be ready for the next step and then MOVE ON to the next step!

Thanks for listening. If you see yourself somewhere in here, I hope this helps you.
