Steve McCrea
I've traveled to over 45 countries and I've almost three years in other countries.  What can we learn from each other?

I've developed a pronunciation system called "It Sounds Like" and I hope people will avoid using IPA (backwards C, a+e, upside-down V).  Let's talk!   Write to freeEnglishLessons@gmail.com.   My Orkut and Facebook accounts are both linked to FreeEnglishLessons@gmail.com.

I
am a teacher in a school in Fort Lauderdale.

I have written some articles for Teacher Training -- look for them here.
http://www.VisualAndActive.com is my training website:  YES, you can hire my colleagues and we can prepare an EXCELLENT long-term training program for teachers.

Here is a typical field trip that we use to introduce new vocabulary and to spice up a school course.

A Field Trip in Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Here is an interesting format for a field trip:

Field Trip for Lower Level

Downtowner Restaurant

Objective:  Learn new words and practice the current week’s grammar and vocabulary.

Materials:  Bring a digital camera (to take photos of objects along the way) and paper to write new words as they occur.  Check off the new words that students are using from the curriculum.

Directions:  Follow THIRD Avenue south to the river, go west along Riverwalk to Andrews Ave., climb the stairs on the bridge and walk down the ramp on the other side.  Restaurant is east of the bridge.
