I've traveled to over 45 countries and I've almost three years in other countries.  What can we learn from each other?

I've developed a pronunciation system called "It Sounds Like" and I hope people will avoid using IPA (backwards C, a+e, upside-down V).  Let's talk!   Write to freeEnglishLessons@gmail.com.   My Orkut and Facebook accounts are both linked to FreeEnglishLessons@gmail.com.

Sometimes it's impossible to make up a funny joke.   Life is funnier than art...

Funny stories from the classroom
Can you believe this story?

I told my students, "Okay, I have three things that I need to do in the remaining 30 minutes of class.  Make a call, clearn up the room and some grammar."

An Asian student raised her hand.  "I don't understand.  Is grammar like sexy?"

I thought, I kow that some cultures really like to study prepositions and phrasal verbs, but sexy?   I've never heard grammar called sexy....

"Uh, I have a grandfather and a grandmother, a grandpa and a grandma..."

The Asian student replied, "No, gramma."

I answered, "Well, we want to say granDma, granDma."

The Asian student smiled, "I think some movie stars are grammarous."

OH!  GLA mo rous.

Life does not get better than this.  The class was laughing for five minutes.
