FOUR IDEAS for improving your pronunciation

1)  Make a recording of yourself reading something.   Try to copy another person.   npr.org and search for "This I Believe."

For example

http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=102961694   <<< Not a clear speaker.  I don't recommend her.

http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=101831449   <<<<  a teenager speaks quickly....

http://thisibelieve.org/essay/16465/    Clear reader....     Not Einstein but using his words...

http://thisibelieve.org/essay/16583/  the famous dancer Martha Graham

http://thisibelieve.org/essay/16936/   very clear speaking by Mrs. Roosevelt.    older recording...

http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=102333154    clear speaking...  but a little bit of black English...

OPEN ACCENT from INDIANA...  http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=101155458

http://w
ww.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=100338235
VERY CLEAR accent    with good pauses...  She was raped...

2)  I like it when people use my pronunciation videos and practice again and again...     http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TT6_zi6CXzY

3)  Join a club in your country.   Find a US person and sit over coffee once a week.

4)   Join Jair and me at 8:30 pm  Brazilian time   steveenglishteacher  <<< skype...   you can listen and participate.   We talk for about 15 minutes and we have space for 7 more students....  plus Elica...

Steve, how are you?

What do you suggest to improve my pronounciation?
I try to listen songs and movies... but this is not enough.
When we were chatting during the classes I could receive your feedback...
I need something that teaches me to speak better....

Thanks!!! Lilian Aguiar - Brazil.
